Ali Peret grew up in New York City where he studied art and social sciences at The New School for Social Research in Manhattan.
In 1974 he moved to Southern California where explorations with painting, wood/stone carving, and silk screening led to his fascination with jewelry.
Ali discovered the Oregon Coast in 1976 whilst visiting friends. After two weeks he decided to abandon California for Lincoln Beach where a small sponsorship paved the way for Ali to study jewelry design and fabrication at Thundering Seas in Depot Bay. Through this opportunity Ali discovered his life long passion.
Ali established his jewelry business inTroutdale, Oregon in 1990 and currently shares space with two other galleries.
His success reflects the importance of designing jewelry that is tailored to the client’s lifestyle. He loves to collaborate with clients in restyling old family treasures and will also incorporate gems they have brought back from world travels.
Artist Statement:
“I approach my life work with dignity and passion while respecting the natural gifts of the earth, its inhabitants and honoring the creative light within”.
Ali will be participating in the Art Challenge and Festival Booths at the 2015 Fall Festival Of The Arts.
